What did you do with your Range Rover today

I have accepted that I love my stupid L322 and that it will have to stay for a while so I fitted my new "dickhead plates". It took an age to get all the previous adhesive efforts off the tail gate which I accept is slightly pointless as you'll never see it but even so I don't like the mess.

Now I'm fully ready to park across two parent and child spaces or whatever you're supposed to do with this level of entitlement!

The truth is that I bought two of these EHZ 880 and JHZ 880 for my children for when they are older and have them on one of my cars and my bike, then the DVLA emailed me and said "we've released this one now, do you want it? So I did and then bought the RR a while later so I decided to put it on here as I really like the dateless plates and the less keen eyed might think I'm wealthy and have a really late L322. No? No, nobody cares. I just like the dateless plates, that is all.
Only dateless plate I've ever wanted was never issued. And if it was then I'm sure the importers would have outbid for GU221 to go on the old Italian bike.

I have a custom plate but it's in standard A123ABC format, birthday present from my parents when i was 21 i think.. maybe it should go on the L322 when it arrives.. think it's still registered to me on paper

Are you sure you haven't just washed it?:D
It feels like it, somehow when i pulled upto it it looked bigger then my td6 even and a couple of people have said the same thing even though its the same shell, seating wise and what you see also feels very different, feels good, underneath is very nice 3 scabs on the front subframe,
Got full service history had a battery and an alternator and belt last year, its on 120k miles, private plate came with it too at 32 years old this is the first motor iv ever had with a private plate

Its not without its niggles, 2 front parking sensors are missing, rear lower tailgate button doesn't work, and the heated Windscreen doesn't work, and the rear left door has a scratch,

Drove home fine and checked the diffs and transfer box had oil and just a nose about because i could,

Even the green camera thingy works and the reverse camera,

Someone has stuck an autobiography badge on it which is like the only thing im not keen on,

What's the point in premium diesel? Do you get more bangs per litre? 20ppl more than regular!!!
It should have a higher cetane value, and more additives that clean common rail fuel systems and clear DPFs and catalysts.

If you have a late model high performance diesel with all the latest environmental protection gadgets, it is worth using.

If you have an old Series or Defender with a low tech diesel, it isn't.

2012 4.4tdv8 if the plan comes together

Yesterday a tackled the sticking hand brake, fun getting the drum of when the brake is still part on but got there in the end turns out the plastic coating on the cable inner had snapped and rucked up and was jamming on the outer in side the drum end so gave it bit of a plus gas down the cable and cut the plastic off and now it works a treat if it does it again a new cable will be fitted but need the car on the road atm so bodge will do.

I have a 'richardhead' plate because my richardhead ex bought me it, as a Christmas present, before I realised they were a richardhead. By the time I realised by richardhead ex was a richardhead, and got rid, I had grown used to the plate.
Only problem is, in the 20+ years I've had it, it's probably cost more than they paid in the first place. Until the Golden Gitl I would change cars, every 2yrs approx!

I got cleared to fly. Assuming nothing goes wrong tomorrow I fly home after lunch. They put us all in business class so we can lay down and sleep. Physically I feel a lot better now too. Body is still tender and brain is a mess. But it is all a positive. Hopefully I am fit to drive before long so I can go get my car. I feel bad the garage are storing it for me. Been there long enough. They've put it on a charger so she doesn't die while I recover.

Go steady, don't try to drive too soon. Young and fit so I'm sure you will soon be back to normal.
