Just do one at a time and refit it. Seen a few bugger things up take both off don’t line up right after.
What polys? I was thinking of those Merkin ones who's name slips my mind at the mo, proflex? Used them on my tratter pan hard rod and was impressed thus far, pricey though. It was but a Bastid of a job,I went for poly the second time, just for the axle end bushes,I never felt any difference. Make sure you get new nuts and bolts the old ones may be seized to the bush inner sleeve and have to be cut off.
Only the anti "tipping building" bar bushesYou guys are all mad
Insist of having air springs due to the ‘extreme comfort’ of slamming it to floor with the touch of a button, then swap all bushes with hard squeaky bits
Oh Jack reread my post,I said only the axle end bushes of the radius arms not ALL.You guys are all mad

'one' wishes to 'waft' along not bounce like a tratterer..You guys are all mad

On me tratter, slitting disc in a grinder between axle bracket and bush, is that possible on a 38?Kin'ell still trying to get the radius arm off
That's not the issue, getting the nut off the rear is problematic!!On me tratter, slitting disc in a grinder between axle bracket and bush, is that possible on a 38?

That's why new nuts and bolts. Just grind the sods off. After 20 years everything will be solid.
I used a metric socket and an AF spanner (because it was longer)Are the nuts standard metric or, like me tratter, unf stuff here and there?
Yup, personally I used a reciprocating hacksaw. On me tratter, slitting disc in a grinder between axle bracket and bush, is that possible on a 38?
Good clean up with a wire brush, plenty of penetrating oil,the correct socket and a long cracker bar, taught mine who was the daddy. That's not the issue, getting the nut off the rear is problematic!!
Oh and when nyloc say nuts are multi use.. bollox!!
I've got a 3 foot breaker which i refer to as the Boss plus a few rather long spanners. Still effing tight right up to the last half turn of the thread. Stopped for a breather when the spanner got warmGood clean up with a wire brush, plenty of penetrating oil,the correct socket and a long cracker bar, taught mine who was the daddy.
That's your problem, don't stop when the nuts hot it'll cool and get a grip of the thread again.I've got a 3 foot breaker which i refer to as the Boss plus a few rather long spanners. Still effing right right up to the last half turn of the thread. Stopped for a breather when the spanner got warm
