Bit like that water pump, wandering that is.With a bit of double cream, oops mind wandering again
So, just a quick question. I am about to remove the carbs today. One to replace the rocker cover gasket and the other to fix the choke I screwed up. I have Allmakes gaskets, the workshop manual says I should use some kind of clue, Bostik 1775. Is it possible to fit the gaskets without the clue? If not, what's an alternative to the Bostik one mentioned in the manual?

Use blue hylomar and stick the caskets to the cover only

Hylomar blue, I used to use, enough to hold them in place.i used to get it in a spray can but it's gone expensive.
So, the choke disk was, quite embarrassing for an engineer to be unable to read a simple workshop manual, fitted 180 degrees in wrong direction. Anyway, right rocker cover is off. That's what it looks like underneath:

It's only to hold it in place while you put it back on. A bit of grease will work if you're careful and don't knock it
