I'm thinking i should have ordered the cam kit a week ago!!
Continuing the saga of naughty knocks, found this video. It's not a rover V8 but it is a pushrod engine. I may be wrong but it sounds exactly like the noise I'm getting and this guy also only heard it when hot too.. wotcha reckon!?
You mean the knocking? I think the poor audio is the fan blowing against the mic causing lots of distortionI reckon that engine will let go in spectacular fashion soon
I don't know the man, never met him, but I met his wife a few times..... me at buck pal been there 4 times now thats me on the right

You'd have had time to do both sides if you hadn't jacked off underneath.A nice big package appeared today..
Of course the weather was ****e but that wasn't going to stop me from fitting them!
Ripped the box apart!
Hmm shiny..
The new pads look very trick
Fitting was quite easy.
Jack off underneath
Old disc exposed, and it isn't in good nic..
Old pads out,
they weren't in bad nick but thy were wearing slightly unevenly so i'm on the right track in inside pad was worn atleast 40% and it has only around 6k on those Mintex pads.
Caliper off.
Old disc removed and hub cleaned up!
New disc and pads fitted, literally a 15min job!
And the view with the wheel on is quite cool
Oh and I did wipe my airbags over and coat them with some rubber protectant..
Just have to do the other side tomorra as it started to píss down after doing this side!!!

You had me double guessing myself with this. I was sat in the garden with a nice bowl of pasta (beautifully prepared by the wife) and a frosty one thinking "am I on crack?" Good news is it isn't the bearings, they are play free and turn freely. Bad news is there is so much corrosion on the caliper and carrier I can only assume they've rusted in place. I'll tear them down this afternoon and inspect further. Heres to hoping it isn't a new caliper job.Scrap that, of course I'm talking ballcocks!! Not sure what i was thinking
P38 porrrrrrnnnnn......This might be helpful I just found it, not seen it before

Looks like he's in the dog house again., how's the dog by the way.Watched Bix sort his back brakes and discs from the comfort of my gravity chair. He is under VERY close supervision though.View attachment 235564
