My leather dye arrived today and I have stripped the steering wheel leather back ready to remember dye, it had been done with a thick spray

Twenty plus years of sliding in and out, the PO must have been a fat barsteward. Was the dog locked in the car??
Chompy Chompy.....
I used a cleaner/degreaser before I dyed but it's more like a paint which doesn't need treatment afterwards.Alan, did you treat this seat leather?
Does it go harder than the original leather finish?I used a cleaner/degreaser before I dyed but it's more like a paint which doesn't need treatment afterwards.
You thinking of using it for another purpose, only time will tell.Does it go harder than the original leather finish?

When it expands it will also cover up your O rings for the heater. 2 jobs for the price of 1. LOLI've got a tube of fil'n'foam in shed you can have
Damm and I've just put the new Audi heater core in to do away with the O ring problem. Well the old core was leaking anywayWhen it expands it will also cover up your O rings for the heater. 2 jobs for the price of 1. LOL
Show us a pic of the shinny new thing!well, the new radio is in. turned off the internal amp on the head unit and all works! it looks a bit out of place as its a shiny alpine jobby and needs something to 'fill' either side
on the down side, theres now a whistle/high-pitch hum, which sounds like an earthing problem, strange coincidence! but put the old radio back in and it did the same thing, bet I need to check the naughty A pillar plug. no option to use the diversity antenna, but reception seems fine so far (better than the oem unit)
