Day of tinkering has brought up more questions than answers. My S3 is a 109 FFR 24v

I would like to do a service but have noticed there are various service kits available depending on sliding points, fixed points and ducillier. Can anyone tell which I have from the photo?

Investigating some fuel sender issues, I have a thicker hose on the right tank than the left (images attached) and there also appears to be a filter in the hose of the right tank (missing from left). Any ideas why this is the case?

Cheers

Somebody's added a cheap disposable fuel filter into the line for one tank, but forgotten the other one. Looks like it's not been changed for years, either... Two of 'em should cost you pennies at the local car spares place - but there's a filter bowl on the pump anyway.

thats a 24 volt ignition system, not sure what you can do there,

by the looks the dizzy is special, and could be costly to get parts for, i wonder if you removed the dizzy and ran 12 volt set up, but the rest of your electrics are 24 volt as well,
an idea that may work is to fit a second 12 volt alternator, and a small 12 volt battery and just have the ignition on the seperate12volt system and the rest can be the 24 volt, but with the ignition key you would need to have a separate system as the original wiring in the back of the key is 24volt, so toggle switch for the 12volt ignition with a battery isolator switch for security. but that option would be a lot of faffing, so id just replace what you need to inside the distributor, anyway there maybe nothing in there that needs replacing if your lucky.

Cheers for your replies! My landy conked out the other day and wouldn't start, then ignition barrel got jammed and starter kept turning until the batteries died. Towed it to my mate who's a mechanic as I don't have time to do any major repairs. I'm temporarily at a stage where I've lost interest for a few weeks. Its a love hate thing with it!

I've had a feeling the fuel system and carburettor are in pretty bad shape and needed attention. New carb is on order and the original will be rebuilt at some stage. I'll let my mate sort out the fuel system and starter
