I had a Chrysler voyager 2.5vm.. busted chain because of the tensioner. Luckily it was a non interference engine

Regardless of trim it is still comical in the front..

Disagree I'm afraid, a manual may well be best for outright straight line performance but the RRC was always a 'wafter' & their tendency to understeer did nothing for their handling, even with sway bars. I always console myself with the thought that should some tearaway (used to a hot hatch) nick the car he wouldn't get farther that the first roundabout

My '87 has velour seats, love them, cool in summer - cosy in winter. How many cars have/had armrests on the outside of the back seats as well as the middle & so many cars (even pricy ones) today don't have proper front seat armrests, let alone the Classic's (adjustable height) ones.
Later model years with the bulky driver's door armrest cum door pull do take away space. Mine just has the door pull which gives a couple more inches of room for your right hip & I think the multiple adjustments available on the front seats is better than any other car I've owned/driven … & all this was back in the 'eighties

Yeah, have to agree manuals are really nice! Well, even if the old four speed is, well, kind of agricultural. Distance between 1st and 3rd is greater than between 1st and 6th in our Peugeot 308... Once you get the feel for it it is a nice car to drive! And some 20W50 really makes things better!

I never changed the gearbox oil, Lt77 i believe it had, horrible gearbox.

But it went very well without an Auto behind it..

got to 70 and above rather quickly!
