Just one other point for those of you that are coming next weekend, i hope you have bothered to do some basic maintanence, shame to travel all this way only to have something daft break on the first lane, anybody can breakdown but we can try an avoid it, are your belts worn, wheel bearings tight, props greased, these are just a few simple things we can all check that could save a lot of tears on the day or days...

Update, for those coming next weekend, OS landranger 1:50 000 maps used 170 160 146 147 135 124 136 137, i have finished the route at last and have put in a varied ammount of surfaces and lanes, unfortunatlly we do have to use some metaled roads but these i have kept to the most intresting of drives with stunning views of the countryside we have here in wales.... this is the list of lanes we will hope to traverse over the 3 to 4 days next weekend, all the routes have been planed to allow re routes should we have problems or we get to a series of lanes that you may all have allready done many times, so we don't waste any valuable laning time....

lanes we will traverse from start to finish.... sarn helen, coed-y-rhaider, ty-newydd, myndd bach, fron farm, abergorlech, rhydcymerau, aberbowlan, pantllechddu, cefn-llwydllo, glancamddwr,llwanbrain... day/2.. soar-y-mynydd, strata florida, nant-y moch, glanrafon, llwyn-gwvn, myndd-y-llyn, cwm maethlon, happy valley, coed-y-brenin.... day/3, 4,... nannau-s-afon, buchesydd, moel-cors, llety-wyn, esgair graflwyn, glyndwrs way, esgair ychion, maen-serth, castell-garn, bailey-bedw, old hall, black hill, sowdley wood, woolbury rock, bucknell hill and lastly bucknell wood....

and lastly could all that are coming please, please confirm either by sending me a message or phone me on 07812 122251 as i need to establish numbers so if i need to break the groups up if there is a large group so i can organise maps etc and run a fifteen minute gap and re-group areas. so please let me know if you intend coming for the whole trip or just part of it, if you are going to join us for part of the trip i can supply meeting points were you can pick up the route with us.... thanx...

gladly have you join us mate, sent you a message to get in contact, if anbody else out there fancies coming along give us shout...

A big thank you goes out to all who joined myself on my long weekend welsh trip, a good time was had by all i think, and i will get some piccys posted tomoz of our adventures, but for now you will have to put up with a brief description, Friday broke nice and wet as ever as myself and Kingsonlim ventured onto our first series of lanes sarn helen and trecastell etc. into Llandovery for a wet lunch, Abergorlech followed and then out of nowhere up popped Hanabial or however you spell his username, to join us round Cillycwm Crychan, followed by a senic drive into camp on the banks of llyn brianne, which turned out to be a right laugh due to the company, to watch kingsonlim and his tardis rangie just pulling boxes hand over fist from it's boot was a speticale on it's own, boy oh boy does that guy come prepared, there was magic saucepans that grew into whole armies of them, boxes and boxes of food and boy does he like to cook, shape i never heard of any of his ingrediants, ie, stinky beans, and the we had haniabal and his camp fire stories which had us in side spliting laughter for hours, shame he cannot tell the time yet at his age though, ha, ha,

Saturday broke nice and bright, ye hah, onto laning, but first wait the well drilled hanibal has to re-pack his roof tent that i was to spend the day cutting branches to get it through, and kingsonlim was re-pack the allready bursting rangie to its upermost limits it looked like the trans american expo with its kit, 09.00 start and boy what a day we had on the lanes, we even found welshlandy looking for us on strata, but sadlly he had to leave due to mechanical gremlins, shame that as we reackon he would have fitted in a treat to the trip with us, so we headed north via nant y moch etc and on and up to happy valley via a series of small lanes, and then yet again the weather closed in so after a nice trundel over the aptlly named happy valley we stoped for evening grub and a chance for kingsonlim to show his true calling in life and hanibal to cause us more pain with his side spliting antics before into some night laning that was to last untill 12:30 at night before camp in balla ranges, and then like magic wanngetmuddy arives out of the dark after playing catch up all day trying to track us like an indian scout, so the familly grew.

Sounds like everyone had a fun time. Only got the Disco back together last weekend, hope to be more organized and tag along on the next outing, CHEERS.

sunday dawed wet as ever, but after i eventually woke late to find everybody packed and ready to go, and not one of them thought to wake me thoughfull lot they are, we head off to a series of lanes round coed y brenig forest before heading southwards again, sadlly we had to lose hanibal due to work commitments, not a bad idea as i dont think we would have got his roof tent down the next lane without series chainsaw work, some more short lanes followed before low and behold we all get stuck in the same patch of mud, we spent more time laughing than extracting ourselves, and wanagetmuddy couldnt even stay upright on his feet to give the order to pull, but we were soon on our way just a bit gruby, rhyader and a few small lanes finished off the day before everbody had to head for there native lands around seven in the evening, to which i found myself alone to carry on, bit sad to have had everybody leave but happy at heart they had all been there...

Sounds like a great weekend. Cdertainly better than sitting behind a paste table for 3&1/2 days & getting 3rd degree burns to ma noggin. I'll just keep telling myself it was all for a good cause. :)

Big Time

I think for sunday we must have covered over over 60 miles of greenlane !!!

I was going to say no breakages

Sadly I found out what my litle clunking was

It was my rear Driver side shock had snapped out

Oh well a good excuse to get a new pair

It was a procomp es and had her on for over 3 years and i would say 80 percent was abuse of that. Yes I will be replacing her with the same make !!!
