Evening all,
After finally getting my beloved D1 started (thanks to all who helped with great advice) it was time for the dreaded MOT.
After plenty of prep I took the old girl to be checked knowing the following
1. Outer sills both sides
2. A+B pillars bottom both sides
3. Drivers (o/s) footwell 3 small holes
4. O/S inner wing hole next to bulkhead
5. Rear passengers doors top of wings next to C pillar finger size holes.
Anyway long story short with cambelt replacement slightly overdue £3000 apparently - 33 to 35 hours?
So what are we saying chaps ?
The wife is still in Orbit at the moment....
Am I being naive to expect to pay less? but to me it does seem a lot.
I’m near Worthing so I’m looking for someone or an independent Landy welding specialist who won’t require an organ to rectify all this
We go camping in a few weeks so I need the old girl back on the road
Cheers
