Just had a quote for welding chassis in a few areas mainly front for £450 not sure if it's good or bad or how much work is involved, any recommendations in Bolton/Manchester area
If you are thinking of spending THAT much on a repair? You might want to consider a galvanized replacement which are available from for example Richards chassis for approx 1100 pounds if the front is THAT bad chances are the rear is not going to be much better regards. Chris
Galvanised Replacement will be well over 1000 then fitting..............I can see some logic but if you were going to swap the chassis properly just the volume of shearings/replacements/ Other jobs (A frame bush etc)....which would push the cost up massively, it would be silly not to do them.If you are thinking of spending THAT much on a repair? you'll never get the money back, so it depends on how long you want to keep it for. forever, then get a new chassis..else patch.
