Hello all,
Have recently changed air springs and am going to reset the ride heights (noticed it was riding a little high). Ordered a cable from Keith (Datatek-superb service-arrived in 2 days!!) and am waiting for my serial to USB adaptor from the bay.

I decided to measure the heights today in preparation for resetting.

There is something strange with normal ride height-
If you use the button to select extended height and then normal-all the readings are as they should be-47cm (give or take a few mill),
If I then turn the engine off and then restart the suspension raises to 51cm all around-indicator on dash still says normal ride height. If I select extended height it goes up and will then drop to 47cm if normal selected.

So everytime I go out it's riding at 51cm. I fitted Bilstein gas shocks years ago-don't know if this would cause it.
So i have two different heights for normal ride height-any thoughts?

In my experiance, they never settle in quite the same place twice, LR say I think +/- 5mm, I take an average. 40mm is not acceptable. It's possible you have a dodgy height sensor. Use the tab in the EAS suite to get the actual sensor readings both at 470 and 510mm and see if they look sensible.
The shocks will not affect it.:)

Hello all,

Just an update.

Haven't had much time recently so unable to alter ride heights. I've read a few threads that mentioned the exhaust filter. I bought one about 3 years ago but never got around to fitting it. Took the old one off-there was no white powder-but was a little rstricted. Put the new one on and the car seems to be back to normal ride height of around 47cm instead of the 51cm.

Will keep posted.
