hi folks
fitting a Weber 32/34 DMTL carburettor to my series 3 landy.

posted earlier on this but now having got all the studs out of the old manifold with no snaps/breakages. it is now a bit clearer, everything is metric but will still bolt onto series head and if i buy a complete 90 exhaust it will fit on the manifold but! will it can it be made to fit the series 3 88

the 90 exhaust manifold is slightly different to stock series manifold do i

1; just buy a 90 front exhaust down pipe? and bolt on to existing exhaust tailpipe

2; am I going to have to get the welder & grinder out and modify the seires exhaust.

3; buy a complete 90 exhaust and make it fit?

the series down pipe will not bolt on anyway as the spacing of the studs is different and they are smaller.
thanks in advance

thanks in advance

Steve Parkers do a conversion kit:

but you might be able to modify a standard 90 system to fit. I've also read that you can use the 2.5 inlet manifold with the series 2.25 exhaust manifold if you're handy with a grinder/welder, but I've nver actually seen it done.
Out of interest - why are you going with the DMTL?
The weber 34ich on now has been serviced several times now but its reached then of its life As it is not to keen when off roading. So I have 2 dmtl's and want to see better bottom end pick up. And I like to tinker.... I have just been told I can buy the 90 downpipe cut the lower end off cut the series pipe and it will slot in the end then clamp it that would be so easy........
