That is very true, i am rebuilding all my brake calipers next, just for a giggle and thought i would replace the front discs while i am there.
I am also going to change my power steering fluid but don't know why.... i think i may have a problem:confused:

Now you've just got green cheese syndrome. I did brake calipers, discs and brake pipes, copper and flexi, just before all this nonsense started.
Ref power steering fluid I also had that one about two months ago. Kept losing fluid even after I tightened clips, turns out one of the clips wasn't tightening enough. Every time I tightened, it loosened. Was resolved by changing the clip.

Hmm something tells me I should leave the thing alone before I go bankrupt ... somebody told me I should get a Betty Ford instead and I do like Escorts :)

Noooooo never! Many years ago in a conversation with my Dad ,about whichever car was trying to bankrupt/kill me at the time, his neighbour piped up "get a Ford". To which I replied " hell no, you couldn't pay me to drive one of those", as he walked away my Dad said with a wicked smile "he drives a Ford". Never did like the guy and that just proved me right ;)

Leave it there, old Ford crumple zones begin at the front and end at the tail-lights!
Pick the brambles, make some jam and get the pancakes on...

(Have a soft spot for Mk3 Cortina's tho...)

Me and my mate worked on a small farm and bought a white mk3 cortina 1300 when we were 15 and as we live in the sticks and knew all of the farm tracks we used to go all over the place in it, even the pub!
Different times now though, probably get taken out by an Apache now if we tried that
