I was at Stoneleigh a few weeks ago, spoke to the GLASS rep for the area who said that both ends were open but the middle closed. kinda makes it pointless to bother going.
...If this lane is lost, it would be a great pity, I was up there with a couple of mates over xmas 2008-2009 freezin me rocks off in an old 110. They had series 3 and P38 so no frostbite for them.
The sad truth is that driving the lane in the direction of Corwen, at the top where the book is kept there were clear signs of damage where idiots had been churnin up the peat on the right. We actually saw them from a distance on a trip earlier in the year.
There is good and bad in all groups, however given the amount of opposition we face I would have thought a responsible attitude will at least win us more time.
Was at Peterborough weekend just gone, great show. picked up some less aggressive tyres, did have security MT's but was thinking that an AT is good enough for local green lanes and less damaging, will keep me MT's for pay and play tho!!
Last thought, my Dad's 80 now, used to be a keen mountaineer in Wales. He can't walk too far now so I use the Landie to take him up into the mountains. If these lanes are lost he will no longer be able to visit the places he loves.....
We all have choices, but it should be common sense. If you want to suck mud and take it to the max, that's you're choice, no worries; pay £15.00 or so quid and pay and play. If you wanna see the countryside from a diff perspective do the greenlanes.
If you want both go to Bala last Sunday in month.
