Ok Guys, I have read through previous waxoyl questions and gather there are mixed opinions about the effectiveness of waxolying a landy, I have also seen numerous posts stating that the waxoyl does not set/dry immediatly or at all in some cases?
My question is, if I waxoyl me landy, is this stuff gonna run off and make ****e of my Girlfriends drive way (oil leaks aside ;)) or is rain water gonna wash an oily sheen off it or whats the deal? She just moved into a new house and don't wanna ruin the communial carpark anymore than I already have!

Cheers for any help you can offer!

I had mine waxoyled a few months back... its a bit like marmite when cold so it wont be dripping off and it will soon have a coat of road crap. No problems here....
Blame someone else for oil drips, never cough the job... deny everything unless you are bang to rights like Peter Crouch :)

Cheers MrJC, that's exactly what I wanted to hear! Peter Crouch included lol! Cheers 4 the response!

I did mine a couple of weeks back, when on it doesn't drip, however it is the worlds most messy job and you will certainly get lots on the drive while doing it. As before it dries a little some will drip

My drive is tarmac so I put sand down over the drips/spills and then the next day brushed it off, to be honest you will still see it so might be worth driving over a large dust sheet and then doing it if the driveway is new in good condition.

I also would wear a boiler suit and goggles, it gets everywhere!

thinking of doing this too.

Did you pressure wash inside the chassis? Do you think its worth it or not?

Also did you jack the vehicle up to allow the waxoyl to flow down inside?

I done it a couple of times, it's bloody horrid, cleaning it first, dust and sh1te everywhere then you come out looking like u have been down pit!! I got loads on my face, had to White spirit myself to get clean. Pump it in everywhere, keep your brakes etc clean though, oh and the exhaust!! Good luck, mine needs doing aain soon too, not looking forward too it!!
