Hi sorry if similar has been asked before
I'm wanting to treat my wheel archers and eventually all the underside but was wondering what the best option is
Just waxoyl
Karust then hameright
Or all three
Thanks in advance
Hi here's pics just took so a bit dark
Me again - I've used a 50/50 mix of old engine oil and Waxoyl on the bits you aren't likely to need to touch. Waxoyl on the rest. I think you got a patch in this photo which is going to be problematic. It looks like a similar spot on mine and it's just a matter of time before it's a hole.
Mine had the same thick coating and it's great until water gets behind it then it creeps without getting spotted!
Others will no doubt tell you otherwise but I was lucky to get an ex-Jap with very few problems.
did you do any rust treatment on yours before you waxoyled
There was no rust on it........
Looks good mate, I'm gona strip my interior in two stages to try and keep it on the road, hopefully won't hit too many issues
It's pretty good all In all it was one owner full history with original sales invoice all mots etc
Plus it's exactly what I wanted 3dr auto no sunroofs no abs or electric windows Infact it's got no electrics apart from the Ecu but I'm planning on removing that eventually once I get hold of pump and injectors etc
Just so I can check the whole floor over and treat with hameright and give all the carpets etc a good going overGood call - loose the foam as it attracts any moisture/leaks and holds it against the floor.
have you checkered your boot?
Not yet. I dropped on a new 8x4 chequer plate last year for £55. It's "on the list" as they say!
As in loos all the carpets, iv thought about this but how does it effect road now mate, I do like the idea of the checker like youv done
