Hi all,

Just got car back from having it converted to LPG and mysteriously the front and rear washers have stopped working.

Stalk switches are OK because when washer buttons are pressed, the wipers work as they should but washer pumps don't run.
When headlights are on, their washers work every 3rd push as normal.

I've checked the pumps by removing their multiplugs and putting a 12v supply directly to them and both operate normally

Anyone had similar problems? Hate to say it but I'm suspecting it's the BECM playing up.

Cheers

Kev

Checked the fuses and relays? Don't be too quick to blame the poor old BECM, just as like to be the fuse box. If it went when the LPG was being fitted, shove it back at them.

Hi Datatek,

Looking at RAVE it would appear there are no fuses or relays that are in the front & rear washer circuits although I as a matter of course I have checked all the fuses and relays (by swopping them out).

It does seem a bit suspicious that they stopped working after it being away and that it had it's MOT the day before it went. I called the conversion company and told them about it but just got the stock reply "that they didn't touch that part of the cars electrics.

I've disconnected the front washer multiplug and hard wired a switched fused supply to it coz I'm off to Wales tomorrow but it's gotta go back for the LPG system after a 1000 miles so they can check it out then but I'm not holding out much hope.
