Was the Tambora Flame a Special Edition

Hi, am looking to change my 05 freelander TD4 S, I want a Freelander2 New is out of the question, but seen a few of these Tambora Flame colours on the net. Can anyone tell me if this was a special edition colour? As I have only found 10 decent ones around the country (Dealers mainly)

just a flamboyant colour when the range was first launched, i think like marmite you either love it or hate it, i liked it so much i bought a grey one!
 
Why say flamboyant, I think more of it as being distinctive. Why run with the crowd on the boring grey,black,beige,green.
I think this is exactly what the freelady needs, get it out there in its party frock more often, as we know its not a dowdy workhorse, so let it stand out in the crowd and party. Even the standard new colour range is still boring.

Like or love it, I love it. But then again I loved my Yellow coupe before my excursion into towing and 4x4.

Its down to guys like you that the rest of us freelander owners get the **** taken out of us.:D
 
Yep - Tambora Flame was a limited edition colour for the launch. I have one that I'm looking to sell privately due to a move into a company car scheme.

distinctive indeed, but how easy will it be to sell on unless you plan on keeping it for many years.
 
True, and as I have had 27 cars in 26 years I am used to the turnover, (and losses) but maybe, just maybe, this will be the one forever car I've been looking for.

Totally Agree!! Rimini Red is very smart & if you add chrome trimmings it really brings the vehicle out.
