I'd love to do this .. but no available money and the date is slap bang in the middle of my main holiday so we'll be away somewhere, maybe even Wales, but possibly Kent/Isle of Wight!

just waiting for 'er indoors to make her feckin' mind up. We'd originally planned to do Lake District, then across to Whitley bay, then down to Yorkshire Dales or some combination of .. then 'they' decided they'd like the South Coast or Kent. Then maybe Wales, then France, then every point of the compass in between!

I don't care where we go, which really ****es her off 'cos she wants to plan it fully .. she loves planning more than the bloody holidays I think. ;)

I just say pack up and go, don't matter where it's all 'away' ... ;)

no probs paul i will see you in the peaks next then

****in right! Tomorrow I'll be packing the bike up and taking the ferry to Ireland. My planning has consisted of buying the tickets for the ferry and deciding to head west.

Nice. ;)

I used to do this all the time, pack a bag, credit cards and bugger off somewhere, there's always a b&b or cheap hotel available somewhere .. and with no itinerary you're not stuck to timetables or specific places ... ;)

Might have to do it again soon ..
