is anyone of the above vans better than the other?

im giving me old man lots of dj bookings so hes decided to sell the trailer and buy a van..he has a max budget of £2700 and has settled on one of the above as a vw is out of price

so plus and negs on any of the above and anyone got one they want to part with?

he would also consider a transit swb but not an ex builders van ta

trafic comes with more stuff as standard, generally better appointed inside, but mechanically all the same vehicle.

one of the guys I work with has a vivaro, every time something breaks and he takes it apart, finds it has a renault part number / logo.

Primastars don't have aircon.

Look for an ex British Gas Vivaro. I paid £4k for mine. 55 plate, 50k, FSH, recent cambelt and tyres, 12 month's MOT, 6 month's tax, easi-load roof rack and full internal racking.
Only problem I've had in 9 months is a tired battery, which cost me £60 for a new one.

too much Wonga m8.. £2700 tops hes got to spend

I have had traffics and vivaros for 8 years had quite a few problems with them mostly still when there under warranty, things like gear boxes, suspension clunks, injector failures (can result in needing new head)

They are good vans but don't seem to last te same length of time a sprinter/ transit will, we find when there between 100-120k it's time to move them on..

Try find one that's had good service and ideally gear box already replaced..

I work on a lot of all these variants and when they are going they are a nice van but they have a lot of common and expensive faults I would avoid them personally one fleet I do is a local undertakers who have 3 of these two renaults and a vauxhall all low mileage well kept vans which as you can imagine dont get thrashed and they have all had problems one of them had to have a gearbox at 40000!! A transit or peugeot boxer would be a better choice in my opinion although they maybe more expensive you get what you pay for

Buy a newer Vito.

I've had the pleasure of my mate 04 plate trafic, gearbox, 2 sets of lower arms, EGR failure, turbo, gear linkage cables the list goes on, its helped me maintain my TD5 so I shouldn't complain to much.

I can beat that, two of our vivaros at work have had gearboxes in less than 30k!
