What sort of money should I be looking to pay for a 10 year old Vitara
convertible with average mileage and condition?

What are common problems with them?

10 years........not a lot

sold wife's N reg 1995 5 door V6 18 months ago for £4000. Within 1 year it
failed an MOT on rusted out sills.

at same time sold my L 1993 reg shorty with all accessories (alloys etc) for
£2500. We still see it around locally.

now running Grand Vitara Diesel......and its the best model we have owned.

Mines 10yr old jlx. off road daily no recurring probs.
2exhausts in 5yrs, tyres(Bridgestone Duellers) half worn in
30k. Bodywork sound, chassis just losing underseal in
places. Pulled out just about all other types 4x4, admit
they were probably driven by posers on shoot.

Had a 1999 Vitara Hard Top for the past 2 years have had absolutely no
problems, except I blew a fuse trying to charge up my mobile phone, but
apart from that absolutely no problems, except for the switch on the rear
demister stopped working but apart from that....

HA HA No one expects the spanish inquisition! Sorry gone all Pythony there.

But seriously my Vitara has been great, a real fun little car.
