On the diesel you hit the spanner away from the battery towards the air filter, does that help you a, good sharp blow should work or if all else fails use hammer and chisel on nut.

Oh here we go no need for bitching I had read all the threads and like I said a lot of people go off on a tangent that drifts off the question and gets foggy. I had the answer of Brianp38 which was all I needed and greatful for his input

Yeah, 50 posts of crap but in there they'll be something useful. If Wammers has answered then you won't need to read any further unless he's bantering with Tomcat.

Mogzz i give you post #2 answer to post #1. Post #4. Post #11. Post #14. Post #15. Then Brian at post #22. Then post #23. Don't think there ever was any ambiguity. All pretty plain and simple. "A viscous fan is ALWAYS undone in the direction of rotation," covers everything you need to know about undoing one. :D:D;)

Which way does it rotate?!

Which way does it rotate?!

It draws air in through the radiator so the angle of the blades is a strong indicator of direction of rotation. Anyone who needs to ask that question should not be working on his car.
