no she didnt. kept telling her to but nothing, i keep mine alarmed with immobiliser and a few other bits but she just left it normal

thanks guys, ye police were informed but most of them have a bad history round here for being useless, think we have tracked it down and the people who took it want money to return it so shes just going to put it through the insurance and be done with land rovers. shame really as she loved the truck, why people have to wreck it?

Eh? If you've tracked it down and they want money then get the cops involved. Either that or round up a lynch mob with some very big sticks, go round under the pretence of handing over cash and then kick feck out of them all.

Dont give them cash cos they'll see that it worked and they'll do it again

im i reading this right i would be round with more than sticks, have you told police who has it? Can't believe you have wrote that. Next one could be yours just remember that.

This is surely a wind up ?

Nope not necessarily. My mate told me last night of a friend of a friend who had a brand new 70,000 BMW stolen from their driveway. Luckily enough for him he knew someone who knew the guy who ran the local 'division' of the professional car thieves ring. He said yeah you can have it back and we'll leave your other cars alone but it'll cost you 2000. They paid up and got the car back

ye its true but trouble is she lives on her own and doesnt want to pay the £500 knowing how easy it can be stolen again, we would go round with sticks but would imagine they wouldnt take that to lightly as its not your everyday happy chap that knocks landys off, and as we all have families the last thing we want is a war on our front doors so the sensible option for her is to forget the truck and carry on with a normal car that doesnt raise attention

and im sure if we got the police involved who as i say are the closest thing to useless then they wouldnt be best pleased either. best not to wind them up really. nobody can stop it from happenin but as i said my truck has a lot more security than hers did
