Hi,

Not sure if this is a really stupid question but have no mechanical knowledge whatsoever and rather than completely embarrass myself at a garage, I thought I would start (embarrass myself?!) here first!!

We bought a Freelander Td4 ES Automatic diesel 51 plate about a month ago and it is brill! Completely in love with it except for....... When we got it there were 3 dashboard lights that kept staying on (TC, ABS and the downhill light) and then everything stopped cos the alternator was knackered.... luckily this happened while my husband was in it and not me cos I may have behaved like a girl and cried!! Anyway, alternator replaced and all seems well and you've guessed it there is an except coming..... it feels really sluggish when I go uphill and feels like it is just going to stop and also the 3 lights still come but only after I have been driving a while??

Does anyone have any idea's, advice or suggestions as to what is going on with it??? Thanks in advance
Bryony :)

two separate faults, the 3 amigoes as they're known is usually caused by a faulty brake pedal switch, less than a tenner to buy and about 15 mins to change, there is a step by step guide on here somewhere.

For the other thing, check out the lack of power thread at the top of the page in the sticky section.

good luck and welcome to the forum.
