Ok so im getting a 1994 300tdi 110 to replace my Series 3, it will be used for a number of things including: greenlanning, pay and play days, helping out the scouts and just as a general weekend run about.

I already have a set of mud tyres that i can fit on it for the play days but wanted to know what people thought the other essential or at least benificial items might be.

My initial plan was to do it up similar to the Landrover Experience vehilces, unless i get carried away and go all landrover bigfoot :D

So for starters in order how does this sound?
1) Snorkel and extended breater lines
2) Diff guards front and rear
3) steering guard
4) sump and tank guards

Also if anyone has particular products or suppliers they would recomend please post them up.

I havent got a welder but my next door neighbor has so thats sorted.
I have a full set of chest waders so and a set of waterproof boots so sorted on that front.
20 cigs, hmmm depends who is out with me.
I dont drink tea, but hot choc could be done.
I have a high lift on the back of my S3 that will be comming off soon.
LZiR????

you don't need a snorkel unless you intend to go swimming with it, but I would get a set of heavy duty steering rods, then consider heavy duty bumpers.

First thing you should do is find the search button. :D
This subject has been done to death. :D
If youve already got a series then you know what happens when you take it off road. :D

looking at your list id be looking to protect my investment first but its sods law that whatever you do you will break something else.

Rock Sliders
Ropes/Recovery equip
Recovery points.

I would say a decent set of bumpers and a winch too. I've just bought a Come up from Winchman.co.uk, Decent bit of kit and not stupidly priced like others!

All you 'need' is mud tyres really, after that it's steering guard, diff guards, sliders, HD front bumper and a lift. A winch is cool and very handy, mines got people out of some sticky situations but it's not essential, if you haven't got one then don't put yourself in the situation you will need one!

A dash pod with a compass and the angle thingy, one life live it or if you can read this turn me over stickers, and essential is a spoon ( for your mullet fruit corner while you wait for lzir) 😁
