Re the washers, britpart went through a phase of sending out copper plated steel washers.. pile of junk.. dunno if they still do
A starter motor is just a heavy duty electric motor. If it can't turn then there no noise.. maybe a slight hum or crackle if there's a bad connection.
I don't know what's on your car but I'm assuming it's pretty bog standard.. pre engaged type with no fancy gearing inside it
If you've just replaced them why would they need replacing again?!Suppose the obvious question is how to clear the Hydro lock? The above suggestion seems straightforward enoughI've ordered 300ml syringe with tubing so get injectors out ( again
) then pop tube through at bottom, then drain any fluid??
Do you think I will have to replace copper washers? Like I said, all 5 injectors have just been fully refurbished at Tower Diesels. Don't know if washers where Land Rover or Britpart though![]()
Well at least you have got to the bottom of it.Update ( live )
Got Defender trailered down yesterday and I'm now re doing what I done from scratch! First injector out and immediately I notice NO copper washer!! Looks in port and nothingPool of oil next to Injector I think " f**king bet your their " and guess what, it is!
Remember washers where so slippy cause everything is new unlike the cruddy old tips. The bugger must have slipped off!!! Going to check the rest!! So hope I've not damaged anything

Did you measure it?Got a little fluid out no1 but there wasn't much?
