Well the weather combined with not really needing the car much makes it a good time to get underneath to clean and paint, right? Based on previous suggestions I have some mordant (freshly galvd chassis fitted last year) and enamel tractor paint coming on Monday, but first I'll have to give it a good clean. I assume that just a good scrub with degreaser and a brush and spray down is fine? Worth taking a wire brush to some spots?
So the main question I have is what parts do I need to be careful around and not mordant/paint; and where should I pay any special attention (and indeed anything to look out for while I'm at it)? I'm probably thinking of doing about one quarter at a time; wheel off and jacked as high as I can to get under and access as much as I can. Radius arms? Diff housings? Gearbox? What would be really amazing would be a photo of the underside with some labels/colour for reference.
Also interested how many here think that paint over galv is overkill. That's what I'm getting from quite a few folk over on FB, and it surprised me. I thought that extra protection just generally would be seen as helpful.
