I've reluctantly started to give Leylandi series 3, some protection today. Last weekend I used a wire brush on a drill and white spirit to remove old waxoyl then jetwashed.
I used Jenolite rust converter and 2 coats of Buzzweld chassis in one then filled the cavities with Bilt Hamber Wax.
A horrible job but hopefully it will slow down the rust.

Looks good. I quite like the Bilthamber stuff. Should last well if it doesn't get a hard life.

Good work. Slow the rust down so much it's effectively stopped.

I didn't know it when I bought them but all 3 companies are British.

I know you have painted the outside of the chassis but I would still cover the external with a chassis wax as well. I like dinitrol personally as it actually "dries" rather than remaining wet like waxoil.

I've used Dinitrol before on a Peugeot 205 and it was very good, it gave a nice smooth black finish.
