Hi,

i have a Disco 2,

my front tyres have worn unevenly! on the outer edge of both the left and right hand tyres!

does anybody out there have had the same problem?

and does anybody know what is the problem?

Do you go round any corners? Have you had the tracking checked?

yes i do alot of cornering but not at high speeds, 30mph the most.

year before last i had all the Drag links and ends changed, i will get the tracking looked at like you say...

i am going to do a wheel conversion soon so i will be fitting some chunky mud's on, i don't wanna be going thourgh tyres as they cost a bomb! lol.

do you think it could be the upper and lower ball joints or the wheel hib bearings?

I had the same problem after picking mine up from Fife with a fresh MOT. They had just thrown on some new parts to get it through the test and out of the door.

Tracking solved it, but cost £68, which was well spent. This was for a proper 4 wheel check. The company that recently took over Charlie Browns did it and included a before and after computer print out.
