Hi guys

As you may know I have just bought a set of 265/75x16 insa turbo special tracks which the rears are rubbing slightly when going over speed bumps, anyway we had a mess about with one of the wheels / tyres using a corner of a curb and a car ramp to try and get it to rub but just couldn't get it to articulate enough was close but not close enough but whilst doing this we removed one rear wheel and wheel spacer just to see how it looked with just the wheel / tyre on and it would work better may even get away with trimming the extentions but the tyres looked daft fitted without the spacer on so we swapped it back and decided later we will go on a green lane we know in Derbyshire and see how they are and mark out the arches to decide which way to go either trim the arches or give the landy a lift so will report back later :D

Use a high lift jack - my hd springs need dislocation cones with catchers fitted when i buy some

If you lose the spacers the wheel will sit inside the arch I have fitted 10.50 100 16's on disco steels they are very inset rims and the rears do not rub they catch one corner of the wheel spat (due to a tree re designing the rear tub slightly) The front fit but steering is awful and i mean awful more like a 109!

Yeah lol about 3 years ago when I sold my disco and thought I wasn't getting a landy in the near future again I decided to sell my high lift jack so something else to go on the to buy list :eek:

Some pic's to be going on with

If you lose the 30mm spacers just bear in mind you will also be giving it the turning circle of a 90ft barge. I opted to trim my arches for my 285/75/16 coopers they now don't foul at all, this was a cheap quick fix I will be looking at 2" lift or extended bump stops to prevent the wheel touching the upper inner arch at full tilt

Yeah its funny as the rear wheels / tyres stick out more than the fronts as I havn't had a problem with the fronts but think I mite go for trimming the extentions first and see :)

Anyway just got back from our spure of the moment green laning trip and here are the pic's

Life is about compromise.

Turning circle and spacers or articulation and daft looking land rover.

Well until you either trim the arches or get smaller wheels that is :D

Yeah will remove the spacers first and see how they are the car doesn't like cornering very well but it was the same with the other wheels / tyres on so removing the spacers mite sort it hopefully :)

Some more pic's I forgot to put on
