Hello everyone! As I have previously mentioned I have stuck on Insa Turbo 225/65 R16 tyres on my 3 door 2006 TD4. Can anyone tell me what the correct tyre pressure should be for general road use please?
Thanks a lot

I had these exact tyres/size on my TD4 too. They lasted very well, not noisy and very economical. I used 2.1 bar on all tyres checking the pressure weekly.

That’s great thank you 🙏 I think I have them about 2 bar but wasn’t sure it was right, the shoulder still look quite bulged like in inflated but I have not had tyres like these before so not sure how they are supposed to look.
Will check them all tomorrow at work. Seem to be ok tyres though right enough.

The mobile tyre fitter said he thought the sidewalls were a bit softer than more offroad oriented makes. I don’t think he is a fibber, but he said balancing took him a bit more effort than usual because of the sidewall flexion, presumably the radius of imbalance moving out more than a stiffer walled tyre. So, I’m not surprised you think they look a bit more bulged.

This is also the reason a became more “fanatical” about pressures. You don’t want the VCU getting screwed over by large tyre diameter variations due to a few psi variation over the four wheels.

Mine wore quite evenly and I did one front/rear swap over their lifetime, which was 35/40,000 km on a mix of roads and speeds.

Insa turbo is a maker of remould tyres, not a specific tread. They must offer at least 10 different treads. Some are ok, some not. For road use, they are not the best. Remoulds used to be cheap, they no longer are. The only reason to get them is for their extreme mud terrain offerings (there are a few patterns). But these aren't really very good on road in the grand scheme of things.
