Yes. You can get away with 265 wide. Pretty sure @300bhpton did it. He may have had slight rubbing on full lock in reverse or maybe that was with a bigger profile?

Someone did a really good summary of what tyre sizes fitted without issues but you'll have to search to find it.

As Mark says, check the profile required so your speedo isn't far out.

And as RRDT pointed out, 235mm was fitted to the earlier 7J rims. I had 235mm on mine when I got it. Never noticed any difference other than steering slightly lighter.
