I have two old gearboxes that came in the back of my 2A when I bought it.

1st box - no selectors
219467 JD2 (on transfer box behind output shaft housing, but no serial on the gearbox itself)
Does anybody know what this is? My best guess is an early 2, or the gearbox and transfer box are from different boxes?

2nd box - still has the selectors
25356185E - April 67 - December 68 - 8 numbers + suffix = a late 2a box?
HDA4 539788 (on transfer box behind output shaft housing - why is this here in addition to the serial above?)

I need to move these on, and I don't want to scrap them unless they're 100% useless, so I'm hoping if I can ID them it might be easier to find someone who could actually make use of them. I'd keep them but the only space I have at the moment is in the back yard and they're starting to annoy the Mrs.

e suffix is late 2a all synchro, early 2 can be distinguished from later 2 by size of intermediate gear shaft
number on the side means nothing useful and without its mating top the box case is if no use

An I thought the next line was ‘and one of them says to the other’.

Be a shame to scrap them. Are they any use for parts. Might be worth putting them on eBay.

Cheers guys. I'm going to put the first one on eBay with plenty of photos, and make some room somewhere so I can keep the late 2A box.
