Hi all. Here is my defender 90 restoration. I am at the stage now where all the panels are away for paint. So here are a few photos of the work carried out over the past few months.

As you can see the Bulkhead is in a bad way.

Daddy's little helpers getting stuck in.

Donor Bulkhead. Had to be striped, then had to remove the inner skin to repair it as the land rover this came from was rolled.

And again.

Donor chassis, from a puma.

Help stripping the chassis for galvanising.

Chassis being built into a rolling chassis.

200tdi engine and gear box on route to chassis. (fully re built)

More Photos to follow. These are just to wet your appetite.

nice! its gonna look a lot newer than most of the parts with the pumas number plates

LOL, that was sorted before galvanizing.

I have also used the pumas diesel tank, and the breakers left the exhaust in place. So I have had to do some work on the filler pipe and the exhaust needed some modification coming from a 200tdi engine to the puma. One thing for certain is, it will confuse the MOT center over here when that day eventually comes.

Feeling excited, got the phone call to go and lift the tub, canopy, roof and windscreen from the paint shop tomorrow.

That only leaves the doors, wings and bonnet to do, and a few bits n bobs ;)

Todays progress, tub and seat box fitted.

Made a start on the new led lights.

Picked up my front bumper from my mates machine shop and fitted these. Now the bumper is to be primed again, rubbed down and painted.

Doors, wings and bonnet left to paint guy. Getting there slowly but surely.

It's been a while since I posted on here, but here is the truck cab nearly finished.

Painting the wheels a satin white.

Wheels being cured in an industrial bakers oven we had lying about from when the mother inlaw used to bake.

Finally nearly finished.

Light bar fitted, it just needs lowered.

It's up for PSV on Tuesday. Hopefully it goes through ok. Few things to do over the weekend and a few more photos will follow.
