We are taking our two Ruston & Hornsby diesel engines to the Nuenen show in June, and then leaving the engines in Holland and driving down to Carpentras near Mt Ventoux in the south of France for some sunshine. About 3 weeks in all and 2000+ miles. Mine will be towing for the whole trip, Philips just the Nuenen leg of the trip.
Apart from our normal fairly comprehensive tool kit, we have included the following spares for the two V8's:
One each front and rear hub with ABS sensor
Aux belts
Spare front propshaft
Set of UJ's and centering bearing
Propshaft bolt set
Rubber donut + bolts & nuts
Alternator brushes and bearings
Plugs
Fuel pump
Idler bearings
Belt Tensioner
Premixed coolant
Bulb sets
Couple of wheel nuts
Bearing sets for the trailers
LM2 Grease
Grease gun
Hawkeye
Both have had oil and filters changed recently, both have good brake pad thicknesses. Both should be on LPG by the time we leave next week. All the transmission fluids changed today, gearbox, transfer box and axles.
Anything I have missed?
