im guessin tht wernt as easy as uve made it look! (things nvr r ) How long it take you??
mine to... with a cherry bomb. so **** off to
iv got a straight thru set up and its 3" bore.n its neva been pulled on a MOT,well not fa the exhaust anyrode.but mine is a stack up the bak of mi truckcab so most of the noise guz up'erds.noise doesnt bother me so thats ok!, is it legal and will it get through an mot like that? Cheers guys
yup , ah just gorra straight thru 3" pipe from the manifold with this ****er stuck on the end as its all i had lying around,
MOT's no probs.
It took me about half a day.
And there's nowt dodgy bout my MOT BoB. What's tested is security, leaks, smoke and non-excessive noise - it passes on all counts. So fook off.
'ere TC, mind takin some more pics of that under the car, the route it takes? Does it hang below at all?
I want one like that see, did it make it breathe any freer?
I wonder if they test the hearing on Vehicle Technicians wot do MOT tests.... this could explain it.
I thought, from something I read probably about 30 years ago, that having no back pressure in the exhaust reduces performance as the Inlet tract should be balanced with the Exhaust tract to create the best gas flow, and at least in a petrol engine an open exhaust burns the exhaust valves.
But it does look good Trewey, even with the bodge.
Diesels thrive on big bore low restriction exhausts.
