Transfer box in neutral for brake rollers?

The rollers may test each wheel on their own, but they may also self centre, ie they run up as an axle set, before the brake test is carried out.

Cannot be many modern garages that do mots, that do not have brake rollers?
It isn't a case of whether testers have brake rollers. My question was about whether or not normal brake rollers could be used to test all four wheels on my Disco if i put the transfer box in neutral.
Replies seem to be yes, no, i have, probably not, maybe, go for it and tulips.
(i may have made one or more of those up)
When i saw Ian, my MOT man on thursday taking him £15.67 worth of biscuits, he said he wouldn't test a Disco on the rollers anyway.
It's currently off the road STILL after paying for a new pedal and alarm receiver (both in stock) from Craddocks and going to collect them yesterday morning after work, was informed that they don't have any pedals in stock. Was assured it'll be delivered tomorrow straight from Land Rover.
Not impressed that their website showed stock of the pedal when i paid for it friday, OR the fact that it stills shows stock today, Sunday, at 14:03!

The reason it is not as simple as you think, is probably historical.
The series 2/2a/3models can go on rollers no issues, but putting the fter box in neutral, is not in fact neutral, yes you get no drive but it also locks both axles together, this Iirc was to maintain traction when winching or using the pto etc.

The reply above mentiong the guy who owns ashcroft, would be the one I would lsiten to.

Ps, what sort of biscuits cost that much?

we only have around 8 test centre here in the Algarve...first thing he asked was it permanent 4wd... put it on 4 wheel rollers and set the machine you can see in pic it revolved the rears in opposite direction don't know about fronts wasn't watching...and unlike UK you have to be in vehicle for part of the test...

Doubt there are any. But many, possibly most, only have unidirectional rollers. Hence the Tapley meter is still seen as OK by VOSA.
