Trailer - challenge truck build

The man that won the CCv we laid out last Sunday has been driving his series 1 trialer for circa 20 years he was up against all sorts with Ashcroft this and rpi that x springs and the like. Still this man and his farther came 1st 2nd overall a testament to knowing your motor.

Series 1 sals rear axle 88 rear springs std 10 spline front end and a stdish v8 reliable sorted motor.

Bolting 100 kgs of weight to the front end isn't going to help you trailing.

Your gonna have a dilemma real soon which way to go and I don't envy you at all!!

Been there trashed my 90 several times rebuilt it several times and eventually I ended up with a second motor because 1 just simply can't be competitive at both without some serious work/cash and time.

Be wary many have been down this route and many will follow. You see frequently people buy destroy then sell their motors really frequently usually spending half their salary each
Month repairing maintaining them and
never really ever compete in any comps more that a couple of times give up wait a few months and start over again never really getting anywhere. Almost every club group has them.

Don't worry I've been thinking about this too, my plan is to use the winch for pay and play's punch events ect, but take it off for trials events for the moment, as I gain more experience and money for parts I can start moving more up the classes, as winch event trucks are expensive ! That's what I'm thinking at the moment, I bought the 8274 as, as I move up events ad get more challenging stuff instead of buying a new winch I can just upgrade the one I've got, but once right instead of buying a cheap Chinese winch for now plus the winch will be useful around the yard and for recoverys which I do a lot of currently

it's not the best solution but it allows me to do trials events, get to know my truck without buying another vehicle or being average in 2 classes,

So the vehicle will be trials orientated at the mo but I will get the cage build to withstand winch events in the future.

the rr wasn't a problem to get off the driveway it just took 3 gallons to move the 4.2 10 yds

It used to do around 8-10mpg dependant how u used the loud pedal. A days comp/playing would cost me around £80-£100 in fuel inc there n back
