i have a tow bar on my 300tdi got a pay and play this weekend and i always end up getting stuck on angles ect
just worryed if i take it off about the fuel tank , atm i dont have funds or time to buy a tank guard bit still want it off
Will i be fine without a towbar and tank guard basicly?
Are they tanks sturdy anyone ever pirced there tank?

Bear in mind that there is already a wide, steel band that supports/protects the tank.

And truly speaking, it's up to you as driver to not hit anything.

I binned my tow bar and didnt have a tank guard for quite a while. I did put a dent in my tank but it stayed in one piece :D

If the area isnt rocky then you should be fine just dont got balls out and be careful :) Having the tow bar on is going to worse.

I binned my towbat to and bought an attachment that went on my bumper as a recovery point.i went pay an play with towbar on belted a rock and bent the fram from towbar to chassis.

The fuel tanks are very strong as long as you don't hit it on massive rocks it should be ok mine was but always bear it in mind wen you are out

If your going to Rothwell then best have a strong tow point front and rear, this isn't. Rule but good practice at any off road Center, oh and attach a rope / strap before you get stuck ;)
