My 2.25 petrol engine could do 70mph in 4th, no OD - was noisy mind.
The 200-di lump currently is happier at 60mph in 4th - still no OD.
Hard work keeping it straight on a motorway at 60 though
i'd suggest you go through your steering and suspension then to correct it's faults, oil the relay, check the swivel pins/wheelbearings, check all 6 TREs and carefully adjust the freeplay out of the steering box
Have had 69 out of my 2a on a long stretch going down a hill.
Will have to find a private road once I get the taller tyres on and roof off!My 200Tdi Series with 3.54:1 diffs clocked 92mph GPS (on a private road). Can’t remember what size tyres, might have been 8.25 x 16 or 7.00 x 16.
Is that with overdrive? I’d imagine a diesel would have run out of puff by then. What tyres?S2 with tdi std everything else, 60mph screaming the nadgers i off it, so assuming the series engines rev to the same max rpm, then by logic the speed should be the same?
Totally std trans, ie no overdrive, but 7.50 tyres. Is that with overdrive? I’d imagine a diesel would have run out of puff by then. What tyres?
Have you got a link to that? Would be interested to know on 205/16 tyres!fyi...
How did you and her manage that, in a Series while driving. Or even just in the front seats of a series when stationary!Have had 69 out of my 2a on a long stretch
