, and to save time and scuffed knuckles, some proper terminal removal tools would be a big advantage .... I think 
- They are so cheap it's almost rude not to, but I sorta want to spend a bit more on something a bit more robust looking .... call me old fashioned if you like , which is way less than ideal! - hence me wanting to split the loom at the myriad of junction splices..... and also to remove the circuit from the MFU - which is the easiest way to prove it isn't the problem ...Yes please - a piccie is worth a thousand words. Oh yes indeedy, I've watched SMA - excellent channel with some sound advice.
There's a short to earth somewhere in the courtesy light circuit on my D1 - it appears to be behind the dash
