Let's say you were silly enough to fork out for a BBUS relocation loom, but when getting around to fitting it you realise you don't actually have a BBUS... do you;

A) Buy a BBUS and retrofit (I have a nanocom)
or
B) Pay a little bit more and get a thatcham/Clifford style alarm fitted
or
C) Just sell it on and not bother (the loom, not the defender)

Not that I did this, obviously. Just asking for a mate like...

Do you know if the immobiliser still works, if the BBUS has been removed there is a chance the spider has also been bypassed. If that is the case then B might be the best option

Nope, immobiliser still works as does alarm through horn when doors opened.

Maybe i'll look at getting a second hand BBUS :) Although, just looked on eBay and none on there. Is there a market for these? Or will I have to buy new?

I managed to get a second hand one from fleabay a couple of years ago for £10-15ish. I tried disassembling my original as the battery was dead, end result is don't bother, the batteries are potted in and you pretty well destroy it opening it up.:oops:

The number on the second one sounds familiar but then again that is of a 1996 vehicle (and mine is 96). Not sure what yours would be, may be worth a question at your local dealers?
