Hi Guys,

Is it possible to get these brackets? There are 5 of them I think and they go across the back of the boot floor just inside the lip for the door seal. They are about 1" x .5" x .5" and have a square hole in the top. A round plastic thingy goes in the hole and takes the screw that holds the carpet retainer.

I had to repair the rear body cross member and, as always, I have had to take out more than I hoped. I don't know what these little bits are called and I can't find them anywhere.

I would really like to know part numbers, names, suppliers etc. if it is possible to get them.

Many thanks,

Jack

Thanks for the replies.

a_w_p - I'll try to get a pic in the daylight if I can find one I've not destroyed.

Jamesmartin - I guessed they may not be available. My problem is drilling square holes - I'll have to get the file out!

Chrisw8 - that's the round plastic thingy that goes in the square hole of the bits I need. Thanks though as I need those too.

I know the ones you mean. They've got the nylon type screw housing in them, right?

When I had my boot floor replaced, the guy that did it forgot to cut them off the old one and weld them onto the new one, so I lost all mine.
Tried looking for replacements but they simply don't appear to exist.

I simply didn't put the carpet strip back in, as it's one less water trap...

Hopefully I've attached a pic of the little buggers.

It looks like I'll be trying to make some.

Jack
