Peterborough is about an hour. A1 to the Black Cat. A421 then M1 for a few junctions. In Hemel Hempstead. Price. I have no clue. Make me an offer.

Thanks for that... Have a look and see if your spares are the same as your 91... I assume your motor has the same bit of kit as mine ? If you could take a picture I could compare.

Just done a quick map rout and it says 1hr 45... 96 miles... so bit of a treck !
Don't now what to offer you to be honest... don't want to take the **** !

We'll see if there the same.... then sort a price out. Cheers.

This look right? Or am I thinking of the wrong bit?

No rush... she pulls to the left a bit... some times a lot , had a bloke sort that out but says the booster solenoids are shot so boosted power to the brakes is not being controlled properly.
It's got a years ticket on it now so when you get chance. Let us now and we'll talk more then.

Thanks for the help.

This is the set up I have... bare with me while I sort the photo out !

Sorted.... see the reservoir top right of the photo, booster unit is attached under that. You can see it directly beneath.
Just had a sneaky look while at work. All mine has is servo master cylinder and reservoir. I'm guessing you have ABS on yours?

Power steering hose made up using the original ends. Would of had it braised and had standard ends put on but their metal hose bloke was on holiday :( Oh well. Total cost £27.82 happy with that.

I have made some progress in the last few nights. I manage to get about an hour and a half from finishing work to collecting the boy so I have been doing the little jobs.

So far I have finished running the breather pipes back to the junction box but no further as I haven't got anything to fix it with. I have fitted the steering pipe to the steering box. Cable tied the clutch pipe in place, part fitted the throttle cable (need a new pin for the peddle end) and while doing this I noticed that I hadn't fixed the master cylinder to the brake peddle  oops. The gearbox cooling pipes are off being checked and new flexi pipes made up to fit the new radiator so that the pipes can be connected and the floor can go back.

Will get their eventually

Days tinkering done with help from the small boy and Killajoules. Fitted the steel oil cooler pipes, after some straightening was undertaken

Then it was on to getting the ancillary parts on. Still some fettling to do but in the whole it there. A job Heath would be proud of.

Getting there slowly but surely.

The ss header bolts turned up today so thought I would fit the headers.

Bollocks cross member in the way

Fecking thing. Started another thread on hear which prompted me to crawl under the 3.9 Disco that is parked outside my house and found that the cross member is different.

So a bit of searching and have a Disco cross member on its way. I'm so glad I stopped keeping track of the cost of this build.

Every body loves a tire debate. Do I stick with 205 R16 tires for trialing or do I find some narrow 7.50 R16 tires but risk the bodywork? I am hankering towards staying with 205 to give me a tighter turning circle but loose that extra inch or so under the axle. All thoughts welcome
