No that's the one that came out of the SE. Was hoping to put it in the ccv. Magnetic sump plug would be useless Ad as it's an ally engine.

all the internals will be made of steel so it will still be useful to have to collect any stray metal deposits from the oil.

just saying

Anyway. Quite a productive day, err, afternoon

As Joules was fitting the flywheel and clutch I changed the crank seal on the se engine.

Then I noticed the sump

Bollocks

Bolted it back, trollies it out of the way and fetched the new one

Before we fit it we had some lunch

And Joules decided to change the steering as we noticed that the wheel was upside down.

With that in I started filling the engine bay with brackets

I am taking all of the pumps, brackets and ancillaries off the twin carb to hopefully make life easier.

Cheers. Will pull both engines that are on pallets apart, find which is in the best condition and rebuild that for the ccv trialer with a efi system and the LT95 will be bolted to it. I'm in 2 minds weather to pull off the sump of the new engine just to have a look, but it runs beautifully the oil was clean when we took the filter off so might just leave well alone.

Bloody fantastic pictures!!! :D:D:D

Love engine pictures!

Would it hurt to take the sump off? Only requires a gasket. Take the sump off, clean it inside and outside, especially inside! Then lick of paint for the outside and put it back on with a new gasket. Think about it, it won't take that long and if you do find anything in there then you can clean it out and it won't be laying around in the bottom and potentially get picked up (I know theres the mesh over the oil pick up and a filter...) but you really might as well it wouldn't hurt. ;)

Keep the pictures coming!

Well I was going to drop the oil and give it a service so I suppose it wouldn't hurt. I use Blue Gasket paste anyway so its on the shelf. I might do it one night if i finish work early enough.

Had a play today. I fitted the new turrets. They Worked

Road trip tomorrow to look at a V8 Disco. The wife thinks it's for her

Well didn't spend any time in the workshop today but did go and see a very nice Disco V8. A bid on the bay looked like it may start a bidding war so snipe placed fingers crossed and hope now.

Ha, no. Trailering it back on Saturday as the return fuel line is gone and need to insure and tax it before it will be on the road. It's a bit low at the front and sides for rtv as well.
