So clean it might as well be new...

Wait... you managed to get the allen bolts out of the crank?!?!?! What the hell did you use?

I put 2 of the 4 bolts back in from the flex plate and put a solid bar in so the engine won't turn, got a impact socket allen set, put that on a T bar and a 4 foot breaker pole on that. 3rd engine I have done so got it down to a 15 minute job.

Hey Stu. Looking at a few old Classics in the Bay of Fleas I niticed that quiet a few have the alternator driven of the crank on that side of the engine instead of off the PAS on the left

Early carbs were that way wasn't they later efi has off the pas double pulley or something like that my Brain isn't functioning today at all.

Older v8's have the pas pump straight off the crank nearside on a single dedicated belt

All none air con ones are that side whereas all 3 of mine were air con so it's on tother.

Now for the brain blower

I will put the set up that's on the SE engine onto the 90 engine so I can run the compressor. The setup on the 90 engine may go onto the SE engine for the CCV or I will take the setup off the carb engine for the CCV depending which fits best

I thought I would paint the plenum tonight before the rain tomorrow. And as my wife has no horse jumps cluttering up the yard, and isn't home, I would take advantage of the space.

So boy in bed I got the first coat of primer on

Then it starts to rain

So I find a half decent tarp and make a roof

Dam, to low. Thinking back to my marquee days I made it taller

Can carry on painting now

I like the colour scheme! :D

Being honest, some of the thin blue lines could do with a touch up but other than that you're almost there. I reckon you'll be painting coach lines in no time!

Ye, blue lines were painted with an aerosol then I added the orange after so can't touch up the blue.

Coming from the boy with the chrome on his landy

Cheers Mate!!

Still may never be fitted as it was the spare plenum I painted.

Will do the oil seal tomorrow, flywheels and clutches on tomorrow then get the engine in. You about for a hand Joules?

Bloody paintings a pain in the arse mate , specially fiddly stuff, I notice yer stuck some expanding foam in the hole where I took yer old boiler flue out , hahaha
