Yes iv had 3.5 litres of antifreeze mixed in with water when I fitted it. It's a britpart water pump but I was still surprised to see it.

Thats not enough I think its an 11 litre cooling system and you want roughly 50/50 mix, bit of rust wont kill the pump and may be just because it out of the engine.
Bit of googling should find out coolant qty

Well a quick update i have removed the wading plug and had a good look and there's no belt dust and belt looks perfect so it was definitely the injector pump causing it to ride over and shred. This new pump is awesome too loads more power! Just thaught is update in case anyone searches if they have the same problem.
