Checked the plugs ,NKS BPR6ES ...all new !
the leads look OK ,almost new............
Checked for sparks "in the dark" ..nothing !

have you replaced the old leads and plugs for new yourself? or do they just look new or you been told they're new?

Ireplaced plugs ( thought they were the problem )........ just checked the leads ,looked vry good ,no cracks, perishing etc + no sparking seen when checking in the dark !!

Hi J,
took the RR to an independent todayfor a diagnostic check...........

First thing he did was connect it up to a "T4" diagnostic program and ran through everything.............. no problems were shown as present, however there were 8 recorded faults historically recorded .These were deleted and a full ECU reset was done . After a brisk run up & down the nearest dual carriageway everything was again checked and OK........and the RR now runs like a dream , best £60 I've spent !!

Apparently , the ECU was constantly trying to adjust things according to the historical faults because whilst they had been rectified in the past, the ECU had never been "informed " and hence reset .

Anyway , now a very happy bunny so thanks again for all the input & assistance, I can now appreciate what RRs are all about !!

Thanks again

I would check the plugs and leads first, make sure there is no corrosion around the contacts, give them a clean with sand paper or something similar, give them a spray of WD 40 see if that improves it.

Good luck Jon
