This can't be right, Shirley?

Id call it sketchy at best, as I read it IF all the other parts are original, then theres enough points left over to keep the original ID

Chassis, monocoque bodyshell (body and chassis as one unit) or frame - original or new and unmodified (direct from manufacturer) 5
Suspension (front and back) - original 2
Axles (both) - original 2
Transmission - original 2
Steering assembly - original 2
Engine - original 1

BUT, the transmission MUST have been modified from a 110 to a 90, even tho its only swapping a 110 prop for a 90 one on the rear, its still off the original spec, so would loose another 2 points (leaving 7, not enough)??

I think changing the chassis from a 110 to a 90 might be classed as a "modification"!

Tim,

Good point, but as the DVLA point out, 5 of those points must come from the chassis:

Keep the original registration number

Your vehicle must have 8 or more points from the table below if you want to keep the original registration number. 5 of these points must come from having the original or new and unmodified chassis, monocoque bodyshell or frame.

if you use a 90 chassis , then it would have the id of the chassis , as if its a 110 to start putting a 90 chassis is a modification , you would then have to modify the rear body .
To retain the id of the 110 it would have to be a direct replacement with a 110 chassis
