Saturday whilst helping an old friend sort his MOT on a SAAB (new rear disks, handbrake cables, caliper and brake flexis) I not only MOT'd the 110 but I got some fettling in on the 80"
I finally applied heat to the tail pipe and bent it out enough to finally fit my LWB wheels and tyres. I also found another series1 self cancelling indicator unit and fixed the buggered one.
While I quite liked the white Modulars of Stutab on the 205s I think that LWB rims look much better.
Here you can see that the tyres are about 2" taller in diameter.
More importantly the LWB rims have less offset so the tread fits under the wings correctly, dont want to fail the ALRC Scrutineering for tyre tread outside the bodywork even if it will slightly compromise my steering lock.
Whilst I have been told that Extra Tractions are directional there are no arrows, so does anyone know if these are the right or wrong way round?
The biggest problem with the 7.50s is the extra height, now the roof hits the top of the garage and garage door!! I have to seriously let the tyres down to get through the garage, good job djdommyp has left his compressor there!
The other job jobbed was the fitting of the beer bottle opener to the arse end
